Application for Natural Gas Service
PERCENTAGE OF INCOME PAYMENT PLAN - PIPP
Glenwood Energy of Oxford’s Percentage of Income Payment Plan (PIPP) is designed for low income families to assist in keeping their natural gas service on. Your monthly payment will be determined by your monthly income. We will require you to pay 5% of your household monthly gross income each month. As long as you make your payment each month, your service will remain active, regardless of the amount of your true balance. Also remember that any time your income changes, you need to re-apply for PIPP and complete a new application. Failure to do so will result in removal from the program.
* Household income is defined as the gross income of all household members. Gross income includes wages, interest, annuities, pensions, l social security, retirement, disability, and public assistance, Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC) Supplemental Security Income (SSI), alimony, child support, unemployment benefits, workers ‘ compensation, and any other indirect income such as utility allowances.
We urge our PIPP customers to also apply for Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) each year. We can provide you with an application for that at the office or you can access the application on their website, http://www.development.ohio.gov/is/is_heap.htm.
In addition to the reduced monthly payment, we will also offer the ability to eliminate the true balance on the account. If you make a year (12 months) of PIPP payments in full and on time, an adjustment will be made to your account to clear up any balance owed.
If you do not comply, your account may be removed from PIPP and your true account balance will be due.
Who is eligible for PIPP?

A household applying for PIPP must report total gross household income for the past 30 days (12 months preferred) for all members, except wage or salary income earned by dependent minors under 18 years old. Both homeowners and renters are eligible for assistance.
